  1. Some of the quality of life issues Sammy faces in the end are the fact that he has no legs or a body. Another quality is that his body was basically being moved by a mechanical body. Sammy didn’t have arms or legs and his life was practically over.

  2. In my opinion, i think Sammy died when they decapitated his head . I think this way because when someone chops your head off, you lose alot of blood and you need your brain to function and to think independently.

  3. Sammy survived many painful and traumatizing health issues in his life. However, I still believe he had a good quality life. I believe this because many people don’t even get the chance to see and live the first days of their life. Sammy on the other hand had a good childhood. Also, he was a “medical miracle” as it says in the story. At least he got to live his life.

  4. I think Sammy died when his digestive system went bad.All people need the digestive system to absorb the nutrients of food. Without it people couldnt live more than 48 hours.

  5. Sammy faces the fact that he has no way of living. He has lost all of his body parts and is about to lose his head. I think that if he loses his head he will die right away. Also the way he is living gives the purpose of the quality of life because he is grateful to still be here with us.

  7. I think that Sammy died a long time ago because no one would be able to live with their head. If you take someone’s head off, they would lose a lot of blood. Sammy died because he had to remove his kidney, had a heart problem, and had his legs and arms amputated. So, without those internal organs you would eventually die. When medical doctors decided to amputate his head and place it on a robot, he became a machine with a bionic body. Overall, your brain tells your body what to do, so right when you take the head off, your brain would lose electrical impulses, so you would die that instant.

  8. I think Sammy died when they amputated his neck. I think this because one cannot live without a brain because they would not be able to function without it. Also his digestive system failed, he also could have died after that. Also I learned that if one of your systems fails you would not be able to live unless you have an organ donation or a artificial organ.

  9. I think Sammy died when they started progressive procedures on his brain. Our brain basically has our whole life story in it. For example, memories, different types of education, and the way we recognize people or feel about them. When his brain became a machine he probably forgot different types of things or people, so he wasn’t himself anymore.

  10. From the Pollo point of view about the story - Is Sammy Alive? I think that he is dead because when they decapitate your head you will die; and, I don’t care what you are. The reason is because your brain tells you heart to pump the blood throughout your body, so if the blood doesn’t go around your body you will die.
